As a result of my whimsical spirit, booking flights on American Airlines has become a hobby and picking up the monthly copy of VOGUE is routine. Aside from my espresso addiction, I am involved in a large Portuguese community of Point Loma, San Diego, which is truly a blessing to immerse in a culture that serves not only its people, but the various local neighborhoods. Within this community,  I participate as a Portuguese American Dancer and Vice President of the Portuguese American Youth Group. I also work as an editorial intern for FINE Magazine, a local lifestyle and fashion publication. Instead of performing basic intern duties such as coffee runs, I routinely attend company events, edit magazine articles, and manage social media. As a senior, I am grateful and excited to spend my last year as El Cid's Managing Editor, where my goal is to connect reporters with the unique students of Cathedral Catholic High School. Every student has a story worth sharing, and our duty as journalists is to tell them...unbiased and truthful.
