For so many students spring break is a time for them to relax and take their mind off of school. It’s a great time to go on vacation, lie out on the beach, and spend time with family and friends. Spring break is also a great time to focus on mental health and prepare for the upcoming stress of finals and AP testing.
Many students spend their spring break training for sports. Some even have tournaments during the break. Izzy Coffman, a freshman here at Cathedral Catholic High School, says, “During spring break I mostly relaxed but I also went and played in a volleyball tournament.” Izzy said that she was really glad to have the time off and be able to focus on volleyball. Many people enjoy being able to focus on tournaments and not having to worry about upcoming assignments.
Spring Break is also a great time to relax and focus on your mental health. With the upcoming stress of finals and the constant worry of homework assignments, tests, quizzes, and all the due dates, spring break is an essential part of students’ being able to succeed academically. The National Institute of Health says that breaks can help with anxiety and overall better mental health. Baylor College of Medicine says, “breaks are an opportunity for self-reflection and a chance to hit the reset button.” For all students spring break is a great time to relax and take your mind off of school.
Spring break is also a great time to travel. Giana Brzezinski, a freshman at Cathedral Catholic spent her spring break in Hawaii. Giana said, “It was such a great time and such a great opportunity to spend more quality time with my family.” Giana was especially grateful to spend more time with her brother who is now in college. Many people like Giana view spring break as a great time to catch up with loved ones that they haven’t seen in a while. Others enjoy taking a vacation and visiting new places.
Overall, spring break helps strengthen mental health by letting students relax, focus on sports, enjoy a vacation away from the daily stress of life, and spend time with family and friends.

Absolutely exceptional work right here. Who ever wrote this needs to go into the field of Journalism. I also love how evidence was given to back up the claim.
