Recently released files related to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have caused national and global outrage and controversy, drawing attention to many leaders around the world including the United States, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
According to reporters at Reuters, many Norwegian politicians have been identified in new files. Some mentioned included former Norwegian minister Terje Rød-LArsen, who was friends with Epstein. Rød-Larsen has acknowledged his past relationship with Epstein but denies any criminal activity.
In the United States, Al Jazeera reported that six Congress members have been identified to be in connection with the files, but their names have been redacted. The over redaction of the documents has led to public outrage. Critics argue that only victims’ names are supposed to be redacted, and are only redacted to protect the victims’ privacy.
Additionally, the release of the documents has brought back the discussion about reports of British royalty and other global figures being involved with Epstein. Prince Andrew has been identified in multiple documents involving Epstein and there are additional sex trafficking allegations towards him which are still being investigated for any wrongdoing. Another British leader, Peter Mandelson has been mentioned in the files causing controversy worldwide. Legal experts and the government have made it clear to the public that simply being named in the files or partying with Epstein is not a crime, but the investigations will continue.
According to the Associated Press and Reuters, after the release of 3 million more pages of files, the current President Donald Trump is mentioned many times in the files. There are numerous references to Trump involving emails with his name, copies of photos, and talk of his relationship with Epstein before Epstein was convicted. However, the U.S. Department of Justice issued that some of the claims about President Trump in the files are “unfounded and false,” and can’t prove he committed any crimes. Former President Bill Clinton has appeared in several documents as well. There are multiple photos of Clinton with Epstein and at Epstein’s Island. Both presidents have denied any criminal activity or knowledge of what Epstein was doing before his conviction.
Concludingly, the recent release of millions of more files from the infamous sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has sparked controversy worldwide. Scrutiny of political figures has reignited as many well known names have appeared in the files. There is heavy debate on the redactions and accountability of the files. While investigations continue, governments face pressure and protests for fairness and transparency.

The topic of Epstein right now is a very controversial, and Brooklyn did a good job at including and stating facts. Not choosing sides, but just telling the hard cold truth
