CCHS shines LIGHT from San Diego to Haiti

Sydney Calhoun, Managing Editor

Our brothers and sisters located 2,921 miles away are suffering from the waves of Mother Nature and destruction of their livelihoods. In current news, Hurricane Matthew has taken precious lives, depleting the vibrant Creole culture. As many Haitians question their faith, Cathedral Catholic High School extends a helping hand to the natives of Jeremie, Haiti through one specific LIGHT group. English teacher Ms. Sarah Osmus and her seniors recently wrote personal letters of hope while donating lightly used items for medical necessities, academics, and prayer. Regardless of the distance, CCHS students feel that, as Catholics, their duty is to Live In God’s House Together.
