As the the calendar advances into December and the days get cooler, Cathedral Catholic High School students return from Thanksgiving break full of turkey, but still hungry to finish the semester strong. In an effort to bring a festive atmosphere, many students can be seen donning Christmas socks and scarfs while enjoying themed events. This past week also featured the SoCal Open Division, pitting the varsity football team against the Helix High School Highlanders. The game was competitive for its entirety, but it was the Dons who edged out a victory, winning 35-27. The win allows the squad to continue toward a state championship. The speech and debate team also scored a title of “The Best Speech and Debate Team,” in a local Del Mar competition. In addition, ASB students prepare for the first annual Christmas Faire, Thursday night in front of the St. Therese Chapel, where they will light the school tree, similar to Rockefeller Center.
