El Cid caught up with varsity basketball player JP Colucci ‘23, also known as “Muscles” to talk about the importance of living a healthy life, “I eat right and train hard to make sure I stay healthy so I am prepared to compete on the court and in the classroom. My diet and workout routine help me to discipline my body and mind so I do not become weak. Every man dies but not every man truly lives. In order to live life to the fullest you have to be strong mentally and physically and my diet and training have allowed me to do this. I strongly encourage everyone to eat healthy and to exercise because you will only see the benefits”.

It is also very important to keep in the back of your head that these toxic foods we eat can play a huge role in our brains and mental health. Consuming foods high in sugar, unhealthy fats and processed foods can lead to bad mental health and high stress.
