Class masses enhance the faith of CCHS students

Class masses enhance the faith of CCHS students

The week of October 3rd, the CCHS community participated in Class Masses. Each class received its own Liturgy, held in the theater.

Class Masses have been going on for a very long time, even preceding Cathedral.

“It’s something we brought from our tradition at Uni.,” said Mrs. Sandy Blackstone-Gardner, Director of Liturgies and Campus Ministry Liturgy and Sacraments teacher at CCHS.

The tradition of Class Masses is popular among students. Some students find the Class Masses to be a faith enhancing-experience.

“It was very insightful, enlightening, and uplifting,” said sophomore, Alexandra Vignau.

Cathedral Campus Ministers played a big role in preparing and putting on the Class Masses. The Schola and the Campus Ministry band provided music for all of the Masses.

“I thought the singing was really great,” said junior, Megan Miller.
Senior Roarke Catubig enjoyed coming together with his fellow classmates to worship the Lord. He said, “It really brings a sense of community.”
