The San Diego chapter of the Global Leadership Connection conference, a nationwide gathering of high school juniors recognized for their leadership qualities, was held at the University of San Diego in the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. Showcasing the talent of the Cathedral Catholic High School student body and staff, auditions for Dons Got Talent, the official talent show of CCHS that doubles as a fundraiser for charity, began and will continue each Thursday and Friday until the end of February. After competing in their first match, the CCHS Red and Gold Mock Trial prosecution teams both achieved victory, an impressive feat, and scored more points than the opposing counsel. Demonstrating the flair and liveliness of Hispanic culture, dancers performed traditional Mexican dances at CCHS, which brightened the day and brought cultural awareness to the community.
