Bishop Robert McElroy leads the Cathedral Catholic High School community in the celebration of St. Polycarp Mass.

In celebration of President’s Day, students found themselves with a three-day weekend, granting more time for studying and relaxing. However, Cathedral Catholic High School student-athletes spent their weekend a bit differently; the Girls Varsity Waterpolo, Boys Baseball, Boys golf, and Boys tennis teams all practiced throughout the week as the Spring sports season began. Among the many talented students, some shine on the stage rather than the field like Maddie Wichterman ‘18, an up-and-coming country singer who performed for  the local news on the grassy knoll. In addition, Bishop McElroy led the CCHS community in celebration of mass honoring Saint Polycarp. Joined by priests from local parishes, Bishop McElroy explained the importance of  being a good “samariDon.”

The students look to carry this holiness into Lent, which began yesterday with the celebration of Ash Wednesday.
