In celebration of the annual Catholic Schools Week, Cathedral Catholic High School held its colorful Spirit Week. Featuring a host of fun activities from lip sync battles to throwing Cheetos at a head covered in shaving cream, the students bond and recognize their appreciation for the Catholic education at CCHS. Spirit Week lead to Friday’s Winter Rally, which praised the accomplishments of the winter sports teams while raising excitement for the Winter Formal Dance. During the pep rally, Brandon McCoy ‘17 was elected to join the prestigious McDonalds All-American team. In addition, students signed letters of intent at the college signing breakfast, committing themselves to play sports at the collegiate level. Along with a strong showing from the varsity boys rugby team, CCHS students danced the night away at the Rancho Bernardo Inn on Saturday. With a theme of “Winter Wonderland,” the dance floor was anything but cold as students bonded with their friends and grew closer as a class.
