Do you enjoy singing? Baking? Frosting? Eating cupcakes? Then, Frost Eat Sing club is right up your alley. A club started out of love for baking, the leaders of the club, sophomores Sophia Palomas and Olivia Venvertloh, certainly have a passion for every meeting.

“Basically in a meeting we have a get-together where we all meet up and talk about cupcakes, different ways of baking, and different types of cupcakes,” Sophia said.

At the beginning of lunch, the club meets in Ms. Smith’s room located in upstairs De Sales, and waits in anticipation for their cupcakes. They then grab a cake, frost, and sing!

As for the singing part, the club usually listens to a radio station on Pandora called “top hits” while frosting and eating their cupcakes. The Frost Eat Sing club typically uses frosting, piping bags, sprinkles and a few other fun things to decorate their tiny confections. The types of cupcakes brought into the club depend on whatever kind of cake the person baking that week feels like making. Each week someone new volunteers to bake the cupcakes.

The flavor of the cupcakes can also depend on the season. “When it was October, we made Pumpkin. Then in the winter we decided to maybe do a Cinnamon flavor,” said Sophia.

As for the members, junior Matt Nguyen said “The club is always a lot of fun and the cupcakes are always really good!”

Club meetings take place every other Monday at lunch in Ms. Kelly Smith’s room. For anyone interested in frosting and eating cupcakes while singing, and looking to make new friends, make sure to drop by Frost Eat Sing club for lots of fun and cheer with plenty of treats.
