Homecoming game delay

Students, alumni, parents, and all members of the Cathedral Catholic High School community filled the stands at Manchester Stadium last night, ready to watch the Dons take on Christian High School in a highly anticipated homecoming matchup. However, what began as an exciting way to celebrate homecoming weekend was soon delayed due to lightning and rain. Shortly after the second quarter began, it was announced that the game would be cancelled. The Dons were in the lead at the time of cancellation, going 21-0 against CHS. The game was finalized and CCHS won its homecoming game. Due to the game’s cancellation, the homecoming court, which is typically announced at the football game, will be announced tonight at the homecoming dance. Though the events of the game were certainly not expected, the CCHS community left looking forward to the rest of the season, and the students left excited for tonight’s dance.
