CCHS students stand with Nicaraguans

Justine Apostol, Staff Writer

A group of Cathedral Catholic High School students and teachers embarked in April on Nicaraguan mission trip, spending their spring break serving impoverished communities. Throughout the week, CCHS students and teachers experienced seven days of sore muscles and never ending dirt. They also formed lasting friendships with the Nicaraguans and each other. The connections made went beyond the language barrier faced as students immersed themselves in South American culture by venturing out of their comfort zones throughout the week.
