Trading in cars for boats, Cathedral Catholic High School students began the week amid record setting San Diego rainfall. The varsity crew team, coming home from a successful regatta in Arizona, found itself at home among the wet conditions. As the campus dried out, students donned formal uniforms in celebration of Ash Wednesday, which begins the Lenten season. Then, in review of earthquake emergency procedures, students huddled under their desks as the week came to a close. Under sunny skies Saturday, the track team participated in a meet at Mount Carmel High School, where standout freshman Max Wilson completed a 1600 meter race in four minutes and 40 seconds. With the end of the quarter fast approaching and another break on the horizon, students enter “crunch time” as they look to finish the third quarter on strong note.
