These ideologies almost never actually reflect the teachings of any religion, all they do is input fear and confusion onto societies. Extremists target people of authority and large crowds of people usually, not actual enemies. They do this to create a social or political message.

Protests, events meant to be peaceful and open for opinion, can become dangerous if individuals want to cause harm to a large group of people.
