As Copy Editor for Cathedral Catholic High School’s student-run newspaper, El Cid, I am already understanding the importance of reporting quality news at my school. My interest in journalism was sparked by viewing El Cid and wanting to improve my writing skills. Journalism is imperative in our lives today because it keeps the public up to date on current events. As Copy Editor, my roles include revising and editing my peers’ writing. Outside of the newsroom, my passions include playing football and running track at CCHS. I aim to keep El Cid’s publication authentic, accurate, and professional.
