El Sol, the Cathedral Catholic High School art and literary magazine managed by English teacher Ms. Catharine Kirby and a team of approximately 15 students, is currently open to art and creative writing submissions from all CCHS students.

“El Sol highlights any art or creative writing that CCHS students created throughout the school year,” Mrs. Kirby said. “We like to showcase the talent of our school through art and literature.”

The El Sol team, which began taking submissions upon the start of the second semester and will continue until March 15, will finish the magazine in time for spring sales.

“This year, we are making some changes related to submissions,” Mrs. Kirby said. “We are now accepting videos of drama soliloquies, and we are now encouraging our options and academy students to submit work.”
