Building leaders
January 16, 2020
As a way to demonstrate leadership to 7th and 8th grade students, Cathedral Catholic High School hosted a leadership luncheon yesterday morning in the Claver Center.
Parochial schools in the San Diego area were able to send one male and female student to luncheon. In previous years, the event was strictly for 8th grade students, but this year it was expanded to also accommodate 7th grade students.
The visiting students were given speeches by staff and Ambassador for Christ Corps members, and the students had time to ask questions in a small group setting.
“I believe this event benefits visiting students positively,” CCHS student and ambassador Helen Blackstone-Gardner ‘22 said. “It gives them an opportunity to ask people with a little bit more experience what it is like to be a leader.”
