Christmas preparation

Cathedral Catholic High School’s annual Campus Ministry tree lighting and chapel night occurred last Thursday at the CCHS chapel as a way to prepare students for the Christmas season. Meaning “exalt,” XLT nights consist of monthly praise and worship nights in the form of adoration and benediction, preceded usually by games, bonding, and refreshments. While festive christmas music and laughter echoed throughout the academic quad, students danced and enjoyed the bonding moments before praise and worship. In addition, the Christmas-themed XLT included plenty of hot chocolate, marshmallows, cookies, and gingerbread. After the Christmas festivities, the approximately 60 attending students gathered around the christmas tree inside the chapel. Father Martin Latiff read scripture and blessed the tree, and Father Richard Castro held adoration and benediction.
