During the past week Cathedral Catholic High School Dons jumped into all sorts of activities, ranging from the anticipated Holy War against Saint Augustine High School to the Kairos Two retreat. Although the Dons packed the Claver Center in hopes of witnessing their team defeat the No. 2 ranked team in the county, the Dons fell to the Saints 44-66. However, the boys rebounded on Friday with a 91-54 victory against Morse High School. Seniors embarked on the second Kairos retreat of the year, heading up to the Palomar Christian Conference Center on Wednesday for a snow-filled time spent strengthening their faith and friendships. The Lady Dons water polo team fell 7-19 on Thursday to Mater Dei High School of Orange County. Looking ahead, the CCHS community anticipates celebrating Catholic Schools Week next week with a bevy of activities, including the St. John of Bosco Liturgy.
