The last two weeks of the semester were filled with equal parts charity, holiday celebration, and panicking for finals. Campus Ministry organized one of its annual fundraisers for Toussaint Academy in San Diego. According to their website, the Toussaint Academy is a partner of Father Joe’s Villages that seeks to provide services to homeless and runaway youth from the ages of 14-18. In addition to charity, the Campus Ministry Schola singers performed a Christmas Concert this week, ushering in the holiday season with perfectly pitched harmonies of joy. Students arrived to campus earlier this last week to get some last minute cramming in before their finals. From El Cid we wish all a very merry Christmas, safe travels, and a stocking full of straight A’s.
