Cathedral Catholic High School juniors and their parents attended Case Studies Night, an event simulating the college admissions process, Tuesday night in the Academic Center and Assisi Hall classrooms.

“Students and parents were broken into small groups run by actual college admission representatives, and [they] went through a simulation for reading applications and making admissions decisions,” CCHS college counselor Miss Kristen Micho said.

Approximately 150 juniors and their families attended, and they experienced firsthand how college admissions representatives select students beyond GPAs and extracurricular activities.

“The evening wrapped up with a mini college fair where students met and spoke with more with different colleges around the nation,” Miss Micho said. “The feedback was positive in that this event allowed a deeper understand of what goes into making an admission decision.”
