New TVs create informed students

The Cathedral Catholic High School technology department recently installed TVs into each of the school’s halls to help convey announcements and other information to students.

“The idea really sparked from the desire to get information out quickly to students and really improve our campus experience,” Assistant Director of Technology Mr. Mike Norris said.

Currently, the TVs installed in each floor of the halls around campus display campus wide information about sports and notices for upcoming events, but administration looks to expand into student-produced content about clubs, teams, or classes that want to reach a greater audience.

“The direction of the content really depends on what people want to create, starting with pictures and images, but we do have the great ability to expand and play videos and other forms of media,” Mr. Norris said.
