The Cathedral Catholic High School varsity football team defeated Olympian High School 36-6 Friday night at Manchester Stadium, maintaining dominant energy for the duration of the competition.

Within the first two minutes of play, wide receiver Zion Sorani ‘19 scored a touchdown to put the Dons ahead 6-0.

“Our game plan is always to score as fast as possible,” Sorani said. “We 100 percent plan on scoring every drive.”

Scoring within the first few plays became a huge game changer for the Dons, as it gave the team a lot of momentum and put the opposing team in a hole, Sorani said.

On the defensive end, Jordan Allen ‘20, outside linebacker and strong safety, made himself valuable by helping lead the Dons defense.

“The key to our successful defense was that we prepared for the game and made sure everyone got to the ball to stop the offensive play,” Allen said.

“We’re Cathedral Catholic. We go into every week confident that we can bring home the dub.”
