Pop star Britney Spears took to Instagram to inform her fans and followers she would most likely not perform again, claiming she’s “pretty traumatized for life”. Spears attributes her trauma to her conservatorship saying she was unsettled by her lack of creative freedom during her infamous conservatorship.

Spears’ conservatorship, which was overseen by her father Jamie Spears, was the highlight of many drama pages due to the nature of the conservatorship. People claiming it was almost inhumane granting Spears no freedom, this lasted from 2008 through 2021. The conservatorship was started following Spears’s public breakdown in 2008. This controlled her financial affairs, estate, and as a person.

Spears’ most recent post shared a statement full of unpleasant words, this was her first statement since the release of her conservatorship. Spears had concluded previously discussing she will probably not be performing again.
