Doug McLean – Coach

Longtime CCHS golf coach and teacher, Mr. Doug McLean will be the first boys golf coach inducted into the Dons Sports Hall of Fame next Saturday.
Mr. McLean contributed 25 years coaching the Dons golf team, 10 being the varsity head coach.
Mr. McLean’s coaching stint ended in 2016, but his numerous successful seasons will not be forgotten.
During his time on the links, Mr. McLean coached nine CCHS teams to the San Diego Section California Interscholastic Federation Championships and two State Championships in 2005 and 2006. Although Mr. McLean’s team finished second and third in the State Championships, he coached five Division I college athletes and two professional golfers during the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
Mr. McLean will forever be cemented into CCHS’ sports history and Hall of Fame.
