The Cathedral Catholic High School girls varsity rugby team has created preseason chemistry with bonding and practices in preparation for the season.

“We’ve been connecting to each other like sisters, so our bond is both strong on and off the field,” CCHS player Ab’c’de Patane ‘22 said. “We do this so we can trust each other on the field when it really counts.”

The Lady Dons are confident for the season due to its relentless practice, no matter the conditions winter throws at them.

Although there is no California Interscholastic Federation Championship for CCHS to compete in, it doesn’t stop the team from competing.

“Our goal is to make it far in the season, but we also want to grow as a team,” Patane said.

CCHS believes consistent hard work throughout the season will pay off with solid play.

“We need to come to practice weekly and give it our all because practice makes perfect,” Patane said.
