Scholarship breakfast honors recipients
March 18, 2019
The third annual scholarship breakfast will be held tomorrow in the Guadalupe Theatre at 7 a.m. to honor the 65 recipients of the various merit-based scholarships offered at Cathedral Catholic High School.
“Kids that do well academically don’t always get noticed,” Director of Advancement Mr. Sean Doyle said, “so it’s good to recognize them for doing the best they can.”
The breakfast not only enables students to celebrate their achievement with their families, but it also provides the scholarship donors with the opportunity to meet the recipients.
“It is good to create connections between the donor and the recipient rather than the donor just knowing a name on a paper, especially for the memorial scholarships since the donors have a lot of sentiment behind them,” Mr. Doyle said. “It is a great time to celebrate accomplishments with the community.”

This wonderful event was just another reason why we adore CCHS. It’s incredible enough that our school has so many incredible opportunities for their students but then to honor them with class and style is just fantastic! Our son was one of the students who was fortunate enough to receive such an honor. Our family, including our son, is beyond grateful and feel blessed to be part of our school and this community. Thank you to our son’s scholarship donor and to the administration for choosing our son, Frankie, from all other qualifying students. This truly was a proud moment for us and for this and much more, we thank and love you!
P.S. Who is in charge of decorating for the school? This was now the second event we’ve gone to and have been impressed with how beautiful the theater and gym have been transformed to! GORGEOUS! Great Job Crew!
