This past Tuesday on November 8th, Cathedral AP Calculus BC students competed in a national math competition through the internet.
The students used laptops to take the test. Their test scores would then be compared to other student’s test scores from around the world.
“Sixty-six hundred students from 45 states and 10 countries are competing,” said Mrs. Debbie Bricker, AP Calculus BC and Pre-Calculus teacher at Cathedral.
The test consisted of 28 multiple choice questions. The AP Calculus BC students had 60 minutes to complete the test.
The students with the highest scores will be recognized.
“They only report the top 10 teams and then the top 10 students,” said Mrs. Bricker.
