The Cathedral Catholic community continues to mourn the loss of Amanda Post and Natalie Nield, the 2010 graduates who died in a car accident this past August. The community also continues praying for graduates Derek Thomas and Drew Delis, both of whom are recovering from burns suffered in the same accident.

To honor Amanda’s life, her friends and family have established The Amanda Post Foundation. This foundation is made up of two funds: The Amanda Post Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Derek Thomas Recovery Fund.

The Amanda Post Memorial Scholarship Fund was set up by Amanda’s family to celebrate Amanda’s life.

Fundraisers are being planned to raise money for the foundation. The first fundraiser was held on September 2nd at both Leucadia Pizzeria locations. Amanda was an employee at their Rancho Santa Fe restaurant. Twenty percent of the restaurants’ proceeds from September 2nd went to The Amanda Post Memorial Scholarship Fund.
