Mrs. Amy Balelo prepares for arrival of second child
January 30, 2015
Mrs. Amy Balelo, English 1 and 2 and Latin teacher is pregnant! She is already six months into her pregnancy. As if her mother-to-be glow alone is not enough to show her happiness, she confirmed that she is “very excited.” She found out the news of her second child this past summer, in July to be exact. Her husband is extremely happy to welcome another member to their family, and their two-year-old daughter Lasalette can’t stop saying “The baby is coming in March!”
Mr. and Mrs. Balelo have decided to keep the gender of their baby a surprise. They did this with their first child as well. Mrs. Balelo said, “My husband has always wanted it [the gender] to be a surprise. It was so exciting with my daughter, so we thought, why not wait for a surprise again?”
Like all parents-to-be, they have been thinking of names for the baby. They have not decided on name, but are sure that it will be a family name.
Mr. and Mrs. Balelo feel prepared for this new bundle of joy, as it is their second child. They are already equipped with all of their baby furniture from cribs to high chairs, and their home is fully baby-proof, especially important now that two babies will be roaming around the household.
Mrs. Balelo said, “The best part of being pregnant is knowing that we will meet our son or daughter soon.” She explained that keeping this in mind makes the difficult times of the pregnancy more tolerable. For her, the hardest parts of being pregnant were the beginning months because she was not always feeling her best. She said, “The only thing that made those times better were In-n-Out Burgers!”
Mrs. Balelo’s last day is March 6th, just a few days before her March 14th due date. Mrs. Balelo plans to spend her leave by “Bonding with the baby, as well as spending quality time with my [older] daughter. Hopefully she will be my little helper.” She will come back from her maternity leave May 20th, not only ready for finals, but ready to share pictures and plenty of baby stories.
