Some may say that the walls of the administration building were slightly bland. Being the only thing that covered them, the green paint was kind of tiresome. Well, as of March 22nd, this problem was rectified. A new addition was made to the Kolbe Center administration building to enhance its beauty and interest.
Mike Carini, a Uni graduate of the class of 2002, has graciously donated one of his own paintings titled “Intimacy of the Infinites” or “Intimafancy.” The painting is based off of Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam,” more specifically the iconic image of God’s hand reaching out to Adam’s. The painting also shows contrast between masculine and feminine forms through the use of Figura Serpentina
The attached video was made at a March 22nd reception welcoming Carini’s colorful donation to the administration building. Not only is it something beautiful to look at, but, as Carini says, it emphasizes “the importance of that cycle of giving back and continuing to help others.”
