Before she was married, Mrs. Ogden spent her first two teaching years at Julian High School. There, she taught all four levels of English and Yearbook.
“I really enjoy teaching high school students!” she said. “I appreciate it even more after having been away for a while.”
After teaching at Uni. for five years, Mrs. Ogden decided to stay home to be “Mom.”
“I’ve wanted to return here ever since we left,” she said.
Regarding what her job as teacher of Yearbook Production entails, Mrs. Ogden said, “Organization and communication!”
She said she works to recognize and play to the strengths of students on the staff. She is also in charge of holding students responsible for completing their assignments before deadlines.
For the 2011-2012 school year, Mrs. Ogden said she is most looking forward to being back around friends she’s lost contact with over the years and working with “motivated and bright students.”
Mrs. Ogden feels warmly welcomed back to teaching. She said, “Faculty, staff, and students have been wonderful! I’ve especially appreciated the well-mannered and polite gentlemen who hold the doors open!”
