Sara Vechinski, Social Media Editor

As I ecstatically enter my senior year and second year on El Cid, I look forward to my new position of Social Media Editor, which I plan to take to new heights. Beyond covering a multitude of campus events, I often find myself participating, as this year I am involved with Associated Student Body, Campus Ministry, Ambassadors, Dons for Life, and National English Honors Society, as well as serving as a Varsity field hockey captain. When I happen to have a moment free, I enjoy playing soccer, club field hockey, and bowling, as well as painting, reading, and watching the Lord of the Rings movies an astronomical amount of times. During my first year on El Cid as Copy Editor, I watched my writing skills improve with each story, and I felt my confidence, professionalism, and maturity soar as I conducted interviews, set up meetings, and demanded anything necessary for my best stories. I plan to utilize these skills and many others to create an influential and dominating social media presence for El Cid, and I will eagerly rise to meet any challenges this goal brings my way.
