Girls soccer progresses to regional semifinals

Advancing to the California Interscholastic Federation Southern California Regional Semifinals, the Cathedral Catholic High School girls varsity soccer team defeated Edison High School 2-0 on Tuesday. 

Sophia Aragon ‘21 and Danika Chargualaf ‘20 scored for CCHS to help keep the Lady Dons undefeated at home.

The Lady Dons have kept a simple mentality in its biggest games of the season.

“Throughout playoffs and state, the team has been very focused and had an amazing attitude,” Aragon said. “We try to focus on the task at hand and not think too far in the future.”

CCHS (23-2-3) takes on Upland High School (27-1) today at Manchester Stadium. Both teams rank in the top 25 nationally according to MaxPreps.
