Dancing into the holidays

Performing a variety of numbers that highlight its talented squad, the Cathedral Catholic High School dance team will strive to promote Christmas cheer this Friday at its annual Christmas concert: Dancing Into the Holidays.

“We have our annual winter concert to get everyone excited for Christmas, and it’s also an amazing way for us to grow and bond as a team,” varsity dancer Arden Woltman ‘21 said. “We practice almost every day in the months leading up to the concert, and the week of the concert we practice for about six hours every night to prepare.”

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Guadalupe Center Theatre, with tickets selling for $12 at the door and $10 online.

“You can expect to see all of our dances that we performed during football season, all of our competition routines, an opening Christmas number, and routines that team members choreographed themselves,” Woltman said. “It’s really hard work, but in the end it’s all worth it and so much fun.”
