Dancing on the safari

The Associated Student Body will host the freshman dance today between 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Cathedral Catholic High School quad. The safari-themed dance will include a DJ, a dole whip table, and animal-style french fries. Tickets cost $10 and are available online and at the door.

The dance, the first ever safari theme, will be a new experience for both ASB and the freshman attendees.

“We came up with a couple themes for the freshman dance and collectively decided on safari because we thought it would be fun and original,” ASB captain of design Cecilia Cardenas ‘20 said.

The dress code includes safari attire, t-shirts, shorts, skirts, Hawaiian shirts, and flip-flops or sandals. No tank tops, tube tops, short-shorts, or bathing suits are allowed.

“The main goal of the dance is to give the freshman class a fun opportunity to bond and make memories,” Cardenas said.
