Yellow Ribbon Week, which is hosted by Assistant Dean of Mission and Ministry Mr. Jeff Gramme’s campus ministry class, sent a wave of color over the students this week to emphasize mental health and suicide prevention at Cathedral Catholic High School.

“Yellow Ribbon Week is supposed to get the students to focus on awareness,” Mr. Gramme said. “We can offer our help and support this week through our themes of mindfulness.”

Yellow Ribbon Week included games at lunch and color-themed mindsets, ranging from “mindful Monday, think pink” to “great times ahead, wear red.” Students participated in Mass on Thursday presided by Bishop John Dolan.

“This week is about mindfulness of where we are in our lives,” Mr. Gramme said. “As young adults, you all are maturing and learning how to take care of yourself is essential.”
