Tutors to the rescue

The National Honor Society hosts walk-in tutoring this week from Tuesday to Thursday in NHS moderator Mr. Frank Caro’s room AH 202 to help students study before finals week.

“Walk-in tutoring was created in order to allow students to seek immediate and quick clarification right before finals,” NHS tutoring officer Jennifer DeSantis ‘19 said.

The tutors will help in all subjects, but there will be a few tutors who specialize specifically in math and science, DeSantis said.

“Tutors do not technically do a training,” DeSantis said. “However, they do have to show a proficiency in the subjects they are lending help in, and they have to desire a want to help others.”
