Cathedral Catholic High School student Nicole Hood ‘21 released Wednesday her first pop single “Rendezvous.”

“I feel like I can finally breathe a sigh of relief,” Hood said. “I had been working on my song for awhile, and it feels incredible to have released it.”

With the help of her vocal coach Mrs. María de la Paz and MixPro Studios producer Mr. Phil Higgins, Hood wrote the song, which is approximately three and a half minutes long.

The upbeat tune shares a story of someone who is waiting and longing for another person to arrive at a special rendezvous, while the impression is given that the other person never arrives, Hood said.

“The message of my song is that a place can still be special even if only one person is present,” Hood said. “The memories and echoes of the other person fill the space.”

“Rendezvous” is currently available for 99 cents on iTunes Store, and it is streaming on Spotify.

“This whole experience leaves me incredibly thankful and truly humbled,” Hood said.
