Fall sports find faith

The Cathedral Catholic High School fall sports teams will gather in the St. Therese Chapel tomorrow at four p.m. for the annual Fall Sports Liturgy in an effort to center team focus on Catholicism and create a stronger community.

“[The Fall Sports Liturgy] helps to build community, and to have them focus on what’s really important about sports and teams,” Dean of Mission and Ministry Mrs. Stacy Wells said.

The Fall Sports Liturgy, the biggest sports mass of the year due to the larger rosters of teams in season, provides a unique opportunity for CCHS sports teams to grow closer together, as public schools often do not share the same opportunity.

“This gives them a little bit more focus on the field to tie in their faith, and we are looking for them to be living out their Catholic faith,” Mrs. Wells said.
