Bad Bunny Makes History By Winning Artist of the Year
Puerto Rican singer, Bad Bunny, becomes the first Spanish speaking artist to win Artist of the Year at the MTV’s Video Music Awards. Bad Bunny also made history by becoming the second Latino to receive this title, after Camilla Cabello in 2018.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, is a Spanish trap and reggaeton singer. He has come out with six albums and has features in many other award winning songs and albums.
Not only is Bad Bunny an award winning music sensation, he is also acting in a very famous movie. Recently, Bad Bunny stars in the new film “Bullet Train” along with Brad Pitt.
The reggaeton singer is not only winning awards, but also breaking charts. His hit album “Un Verano Sin Ti” sits at the top of the Billboard 200 for the ninth week in a row. Furthermore, at the end of 2021, Bad Bunny was named the most streamed artist in the world for the second year in a row.
Currently, Bad Bunny is on an international tour. His show at Yankee Stadium was aired at the VMA’s. Bad Bunny’s performance of his hit song, “Titi me Pregunto” was live-streamed after his win was announced.
