The Cathedral Catholic High School varsity girls volleyball team is looking forward to improving on its high national ranking and second place finish from last year in the San Diego Section California Interscholastic Federation Open Division Championship.
“I think that the team this year has the potential to make it into the CIF finals for the second year in a row,” CCHS player Anna Pringle ‘22 said, “and maybe we could even make it all the way to state finals.”
The Lady Dons lost key players from last year’s squad, but CCHS returns University of Notre Dame-bound Nicole Miller ‘20 and outside hitter Madison Endsley ‘20.
“We are looking very good so far,” Pringle said. “I am super excited to see what happens.”
The team has won four state championships since 2004, and it hopes to win another this year.
Last season CCHS went 28-8, and they are currently highly ranked in the state.
