The Cathedral Catholic High School boys varsity golf team looks for more paydirt after its success from last year.
“Coming off missing CIF as a team by just a few shots last year, I really think we can aim for making CIF Regionals,” CCHS golfer Kevin Jiang ‘21 said. “This year, we are a more motivated, talented, and hardworking team.”
The Dons have many returning players, but with transfer golfers and first-year varsity players, they are starting to get things rolling.
“We are getting to know each other with a newer team,” CCHS golfer and University of California, Los Angeles-bound Dylan Vizanko ‘20 said. “We are beginning to get our chemistry down.”
Along with the CIF aspirations, CCHS does not overlook many of its other goals.
“Going far in CIF is our biggest goal, but we also have to make sure we defend our city title and become Western League Champions,” Jiang said.
