El Cid

Riley Hetherington
Born and raised in Encinitas, California, I describe myself as an easy going, smiley girl who
celebrates good music and family. My friends usually find me at the beach or in bed eating
chocolate ice cream with a good book. This year is my first experience as a journalist, I could
not be more excited to serve as editor-in- chief for El Cid. In past years, I wrote stories for my
elementary school newspaper, which will now finally pay off as I put my skills to good use
working on real news stories. Throughout this year, I plan to master journalistic and editing skills
to become the best editor I can as I share my love for the CCHS community with all El Cid
readers.
