The Associated Student Body (ASB) will host “Friday Night Lights” this Friday as the Cathedral Catholic Dons play their season-opening game against the Santa Margarita Eagles in the Under Armour’s Brothers in Arms Classic.

“Friday Night Lights” will begin at 7 p.m., before the 8 p.m. start of the football game. ASB plans to host face painting, poster making, games and food trucks by the entrance gate and knoll. There will also be a DJ and a dance floor set up on the knoll.

In the student section, ASB hopes to resurrect “Los Locos,” the school spirit club predecessor to the “Sea of Red.”

“Only people ‘in the know’ will know what will go down,” ASB moderator Ms. Christine Lagrimas said.

ASB promises big surprises for the student section and asks all students to come dressed in red and gold. “Los Locos” hopes to see students at all of the games this season, as there are only four home games.

“Everyone should come out for a really good time and to cheer our team on,” Ms. Lagrimas said.
