From freeways to country roads

Nine Cathedral Catholic High School students and teachers embarked on a spring break service trip to Nazareth Farm near Salem, West Virginia in order to learn more about community, prayer, service, and simplicity by repairing homes for nearby community members. The group arrived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 16, and they returned home on April 22. Throughout the week,CCHS students and teachers as well as students and teachers from schools in San Mateo and San Jose, California, St. Louis, Missouri, and Rochester, New York, learned about Catholic social teaching and West Virginian history. Students gained a renewing, refreshing experience, returning home with a broader understanding of ministry and service.
