The first week back from Winter Break caused many students to feel blue as they hunkered down for the rest of the school year. While many students found themselves engaging in winter activities during the holidays, the Cathedral Catholic High School varsity water polo team was practicing for an amazing season on the horizon. Traveling to Santa Barbara for the “Tournament of Champions,” the girls varsity water polo competed fiercely and came away with two strong wins. The past week also saw both the boys and girls basketball teams practicing for the most exciting games of spring semester. The week was closed with two assemblies; one encouraged seniors to make the best of their senior year as Bob Baker and alumni shared their life experiences, and the other one informed underclassmen about the dangers of substance as they listened to a presentation by LA Impact, an anti-drug agency focused on benefitting today’s youth. Gear up for the home stretch dons.
