The student section, dressed in white for Friday night’s theme, filled Manchester Stadium alongside the parents and fellow spectators bleeding red and gold. Last week of school at Cathedral Catholic High School was full of spirit as the CCHS community eagerly looked forward to the first home football game of the season. With students still getting in tune with their new classes and adjusting to the new bell schedule, it was another week of adjustment before the campus prepared for Friday’s festivities. ASB hosted Friday Night Lights, starting with a grill out at lunch. The festivities continued into the evening with music, poster making, face painting, a photo booth, food trucks, and Baked Bear. All freshman, junior varsity, and varsity took home wins for CCHS. For the much anticipated varsity football team, CCHS won big over Damonte Ranch High School from Reno, Nevada with a score of 49-12. Early the next morning the girls and boys, varsity and junior varsity CCHS cross country teams competed in their first meet of the season at Lindo Lake Park.
