It’s the year’s most exciting time, the ASB Executive Elections. This is when students can vote for next years Executive ASB. ASB moderator Ms. Christine Lagrimas said, “The elections will take place on Thursday, March 12.”

“In order to run for executive president and vice president, the students need to be current juniors who have been in ASB for at least a year,” she said. On Thursday, Ms. Lagrimas will send out an email to current freshman, sophomores, and juniors so they can vote for their new ASB office. Seniors may not vote, and anyone who is voting may only vote once. If a student takes a screenshot of their iPad, showing that they voted, they can get a treat.

All candidates have posters throughout the halls, some have pins, and all have made a one-minute campaign videos to show why they should be an executive. The three candidates for executive president are Matthew Elliot, Amanda Wright, and Mia Chelemen. The vice president candidates are Alyssa Carol and Amanda Ashline. The secretary is Jane Mezzino and the treasurer is Sean Carr. Ms. Lagrimas said, “My tradition is to announce the winners at the end of the day on Friday.”
